He is seated in a relaxed yet regal posture on an intricately carved, double-tiered lotus pedestal. In his left hand, resting in his lap, he holds a kapala (skull cup) containing the vase of immortality, while his right hand holds a vajra (thunderbolt sceptre) near his knee, symbolizing indestructible spiritual power. Tucked into his left arm is his signature khvanga (a multi-tiered ritual trident or staff), which represents his divine consort and inner yogic realizations. He wears his characteristic lotus hat topped with a vulture feather, and his face is defined by wide, penetrating eyes and a faint mustache, capturing his fierce yet compassionate enlightened nature.

From a craftsmanship perspective, the statue stands out as an exceptional specimen of traditional Himalayan gilt-bronze metalwork. It features a heavy copper alloy body completely transformed by mercury gilding, giving the extensive surface area a highly radiant, permanent 24K gold layer. The deity is enveloped by an exceptionally wide, multi-layered prabhamandala (aureole) packed with deeply chased floral scrolls, tendrils, and auspicious cloud motifs that add tremendous visual depth. The inner recess of the backdrop is lined with a smooth, deep crimson or red velvet inlay, creating a dramatic color contrast that pushes the golden form of the Guru forward, exemplifying the peak of Newar and Tibetan sacred art.

4ft Rs. 160000 3ft Rs. 125000 18″ Rs.28000 9″ Rs. 4500 This magnificent golden sculpture portrays Guru Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche), the legendary 8th-century master who introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet and the Himalayan region.
